So far we have traveled over 5300 wonderful miles. We have traveled north on rtes 97 to 16 t0 37 to Meziadin Lake Provincial Park. There are no hookups only pit toilets, but it is on the lake with beautiful mountains all around. Some of the mountains are snow capped. We took some walks today and Gene found wild berries. They are great to eat. The ranger said that is what the bears come down to eat.
Wednesday we will be in Hyder, Ak one of our big destinations and we were told that the sockeye salmon are in and the bears are coming down to get them. I hope there will be some salmon and bears left when we get there. There are signs all over the park where we are camping to be cautious of bears. The first Pictures are from our campsite. It was just breathtakingly beautiful. We sat and watched the eagles, but the were a distance from us. You will have to wait for pics. They are not uploading.
I just finished reading the book “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor E. Frankl. The New York Times called it “An enduring work of survival literature.” I realized at the end that it is also a book that students need to read when studying psychiatry. Mr. Frankl, from Vienna was in 4 concentration camps.
