Clinton, BC
July 11 We have been driving two day to get to a place to get our water heater fixed never thinking that we would get there on a Saturday. Of course the mechanics are off on a Saturday so we figured we would go onto Williams Lake but stopping off for two day at Clinton, BC. You will notice a change in landscape. What a great old town created on the road to the Canadian gold rush of 1860. Their little museum was fantastic. The only problem was that they need a conservator to protect the amount of artifacts. They had the original sign in registers from the hotel built in 1866 that anyone could open and peruse. They won’t last long that way. There were beautiful beaded mittens made by the first nation people being eaten by bugs. I offered to take them to my house to preserve them...Since it was Saturday evening we decided to go out to dinner for ribs and salmon right here at the campground. The ribs were not fatty and the cook called them road kill. He said if you could tell him what animal it was you meal was free. Where was all my paleo & medical friends. They were short flat ribs.
