Our fourth was spent in a small town north of Homer. The campground had a picnic for all the campers. They supplied all the food. Huge hamburgers that I commented where Texas size and they reminded me that Alaska is bigger than Texas and the burgers where Alaskan sized. Met people from all over, Florida, Georgia, Texas. In fact the one couple from Texas lived in Canyon Lake where Jim and Dixie lives. Small world.
Something we never thought much about until we came to Alaska. When do they set off the fire works? Well on Kodiak the do it 12:01am on the fourth as do most of the rest of Alaska.
