On July 1st we had 21hrs &42 min of daylight.We got on the ferry last night at 8 in Kodiak to go back to Homer. Yesterday was cloudy and drizzley all day. But, it was cool and not 100 degrees, I can handle that. Drove to the end of the last road. Can you imagine our surprise to see a picture of John Wayne on a rock out of nowhere. We are way out in the country.
Not sure if the picture of the whale is clear but it was there near shore. There was an old missle silo there and the beach. Picked up some driftwood. Oh, the day before yesterday I found a skull of I think a deer. I am bringing it home.
We came home on the Tuscumina, which is not as new as the Kennicut, and they call it the blue canoe because it is so much smaller. Can only get 45 cars on it. We could have made money selling our room but no amount of money could have made me stay up from 8pm to 7am. I might be repeating myself. I have had to rewrite so many times because of computer problems I don't remember what I said before.
