Homer
We arrived a day before we were to leave for Kodiak (I think it was the 27). Toured the town and played pick-a-road. Even went to a garage sale where I bought a turtleneck shirt for .25. Good thing I did. I wore that almost every day under my sweatshirt. Not complaining...
Homer's main drag is a spit going out to the bay formed from glaciation. At this time of year all fishermen line the banks & or are in boats. They are fishing for halibut now. The salmon is "running" late.
The active volcano is Mt. Redoubt. We have seen quite a few spewing volcanos.
