Jasper,
Jasper, Canada July 15
Ok. If you want to fish or have a boat, then the first 4 provinces’ are ok. We took the northern road because we thought we’d see a lot of wildlife. Wrong! As soon as we got close to Jasper there were mountain goats, we saw a wolf, coyote, deer w/fawn…as we were just coming in the park. The mountains are majestic.
We then took a ride and saw elk, black bear, and more goats driving down to the town of Jasper.
After we went to the library to down load the blog we walked around the city and then stopped for some Jasper pizza in a roof top restaurant. The scenery is beautiful. Our campsite is awesome. We are right next to a roaring river. I will sleep great tonight.
July 17
It was 50 degrees when we got up this morning, so we stayed in bed a little longer than usual. I got up and made hot chocolate and oatmeal for breakfast. We left around 9am and started our adventure. We saw more bear, a woodland caribou, deer. The caribou was a great treat after reading the sign. Only 8 or so have been seen. We feel privileged. After hiking a couple miles we decided to go to the town of Jasper. I have messed up in the order so the first pictures are of the first day and the others are of today.
