Yesterday was laundry, errands and clean up day but today was winery day in Sonoma County for the Pikes. First we went to DeLoach Vineyards and then to Hook & Ladder. Hook & Ladder gives 20% of the money to the fire department so we had to buy there. The next was a small vineyard, Woodenhead Vintners, with a fantastic view from the outside deck. They don't filter their wines. This doesn't mean there are pieces in the brew...just that it a procedure they do not due. The procedure usually uses milk and the color of the wine is changed. Then we went to Korbel's. This of course is where they make champagne and wines. The grounds were beautiful with a deli next to the tasting room. It was another great day.
