Las Vegas
After a down day on Sunday because of 105 degree day we decided to do a little touring. The first place was Hoover Dam which was started in 1931 and the last concrete was poured in 1935. I have seen TV shows on this but I never realized what challenges of the remote location and some of the harshest working conditions presented. Six companies completed the project two years ahead of schedule and well under the budget. A new magnificent bridge is being built to divert traffic from the Dam bridge. After touring the Dam we went out for a Cheap steak dinner and then went downtown to see the heart of Vegas. Because Marci, Jeff and Steve had been there they recommended us go to the Bellagio hotel to see the water show. The waters are dancing to music. It was as spectacular as they mentioned. We then walked the strip.
