Terrace, BC
We drover over 200 miles today hoping to find the Kermodei Bear or any bear, but no luck with that. We saw plenty of evidence of the bears. Included in the drive was a visit to the Nisga'A Memorial Lava Bed Provincial Park. We visited 3 Indian villages whose names are listed on a sign. The lava rock is different than what we have seen before. It has a thick mat of lichen on it. The Volcano erupted in the late 1700's.
As you can see from the pictures there are many waterfalls, snow capped high mountains, lakes and the Pacific Ocean. The magnificent beauty of the country cannot be seen through photos. There are pictures of osprey, bald eagle and we think it might be a golden eagle or a falcon. We feel so fortunate to be able to do what we are doing.
