Castle Rock
Castle Rock, Saturday
This was a laid back lazy day and we were doing chores and I was trying to rest my ankle. I made a roast for dinner and we played cards and watched a little TV.
Sunday we moved to another campground, further south in OR, that is in the woods. I get nervous around trees, but the campground is right in the middle of what we want to see the next few days. After setting up we decided to take a ride to the Tillamook Cheese Factory, In the town of Tillamook, OR. Since it was Sunday all the production was not running but we saw enough, had an ice cream, and bought some cheese. We then took a ride up the coast and found a little restaurant near the water and had dinner. It was funny to see mountains right next to the coast. In New England it is all flat land. Then we decided to take a road that would cut some miles of our ride home. It was like being on an amusement ride. The narrow road “screwed”, twisted and turned it’s way for 18 miles through forests. The 18 miles took forever. We were both tired and decided to head for home the quickest way.
