Oct 5 to 8

Oct. 5to 8th
We have visited with Mark, Gene and there friend Bill. The fall foliage is beautiful, with the weather being in the 60’s during the day and as low as 35 at night. It is supposed to be warmer during the day and evenings.
So far we have hiked a mile on the Appalachian trail, and hiked an old rock quarry that closed in 1920.There were pieces of old equipment, a tunnel used to testing drill bits and a great walk, 2 ½ mile, in the woods.
On a serious note Gene’s older brother Joe, who lives in Alabama, had a heartattack at home, and died last evening about 6:30pm. Unfortunately we or Gene’s sister Joan could not get to the hospital. Gene’s oldest sister Char was able to make it there. Next summer they will all get together to spread his ashes up in NY.
We haven’t heard about when our rv will be fixed or when the parts will come in.
