Oct 26-31

Oct. 26-31
We left Maine Sunday afternoon and listen to football all the way back to Mass. The leaves are starting to fade and fall off the trees. We wanted to get home before dark and we did. I got to see the Steelers/Giants game which was a disappointment. The Steelers lost the game by errors, which was frustrating.
The weather is getting colder and rain was forecast for Tuesday so we decided to go to Conn. and see our granddaughter Daniell. Mark, Gene, Gene & I pilled into our truck and drove to Conn. Our son Gene took Daniell to apply for a passport. She is going to Spain in February with her school choir. After lunch we went to Home Depot to get parts for the rv’s drawers. They keep opening when we travel. Then we visited Joan, Gene’s twin sister and her husband Earl. On the way back home the rain started to turn to snow. By the time we got to our camper it was covering the ground and cold.
It was cold the next day and Gene worked in the camper to fix the drawers. This was a good movie day and we watched “Sahara” with Mathew McConaughey and Penelope Cruz, an ok movie. We also watched “My Brother’s Keeper” with John Lithgow, a true story, a real feel good movie and a tear jerker.
We got a call from the dealer who is going to fix our rv. He informed us that the parts are not in and he is not sure when they will be in. It is very frustrating. We are ready to go south.
I made onion soup and stew which was great on the cold days.
The next days were spent shopping for smaller jeans for Gene and doing laundry. Gene is now wearing 36’s and I am in size 12’s. We are not loosing as fast as the beginning but it is steady and we have lost inches.
