We heard coyotes last night and the temperature did finally drop enough to need a blanket. Gene was up early and he let me sleep a little longer this morning.
The north rim was our destination today. The canyons are just beautiful. We met acouple, George & Kathy, originally from Mass.., and sat and talked for some time. They were in Alaska the same time we were and drove up to the Arctic Ocean and they also visited Hyder, so we had a lot to talk about. They asked us if we would like to join them on a guided tour of the canyon floor tomorrow. Only natives can take you down to the floor of the canyon.
Thank heavens for our generator. It is so hot by 3pm. The inside of the RV is 91 and the first thing we do coming in is turn on the 2 air conditioners and fan. We have to turn it off at 8:30 which sucks because it is still warm and I like at least a fan. The tribulations of camping.
