We went to the Wupatki Pueblo was built and occupied during the 1100's. The high desert offered challenge and possibilities for these dwellers. Also visited the Sunset crater the last erupted about 900 years ago. Besides the lava there was a lot of Cinders and bombs thrown into the air. It stretches for miles. It is great camping alone in the woods.
